Gives Clarity!

Is this the year for you to take the leap and build your own practice?

If so, we want to make sure you set out on the right path.

First, let us be brutally candid about two things with regards to starting a therapy practice.

One, there really isn't rocket science behind finding success.

Two, many make the process challenging by skipping a very important step.

Frankly, clinicians often look at growing a business as merely obtaining their LLC and launching a website. Yet, after a few months of marketing, they find themselves struggling to gain traction.

The reason for the lack of success often comes down to one simple thing: An identity crisis.

Few take the time to reflect and discern WHY they are putting everything on the line.

So often when we ask those making the jump why they want to do this, the answer is the same: "So I can treat patients the way I want to treat them."

This is an absolutely great reason to venture out on a new journey. However, providing the treatment that (you) want to provide is what you do; not why.

There are two Why's to be answered. An intrinsic and an extrinsic Why.

Why are these Why's important? Because they solve the identity crisis that so many unknowingly struggle with as they attempt to grow something out of nothing.

The intrinsic Why is the personal reason for the therapist to risk it all.

Intrinsic reasons may include things such as time freedom, time available for the family, to create a business that fits their life rather than life being controlled by a job.

Some want to be able to serve communities in need. Building their own practice provides a means for supporting philanthropic endeavors.

There are mothers who want their children to see where hard work and dreams can take them.

Others want to create a business that becomes a legacy for the next generation.

The value of giving intrinsic Why's deep thought is that these are going to be the things that give encouragement and hope when times get rough and doubt creeps in between the ears.

Extrinsic Why's will give motivation as well. But the extrinsic reasons for your practice are the foundational cornerstone to everything else moving forward.

In other words, extrinsic Why's feed directly into marketing, attracting, and selling.

Knowing why your practice has to exist, the problems you and your practice solve, and who you solve them for are important questions to answer.

The reason: understanding your extrinsic Why's will give you much needed clarity.

Clarity over what you do makes it simpler to navigate marketing, attracting, and selling conversations.

The questions you ask will be on a different level than what the public is used to being asked, which will set you apart.

Clarity boosts your confidence. Once again, confidence helps with .... marketing, attracting, selling.

When the public has more clarity over how you can help them, you are better positioned as the authority.

Potential customers say "Yes" when they have clarity.

Starting with "Why" may seem trivial, but failing to do so can lead to a mound of frustration later.

At a time when physical therapy - and maybe occupational - clinics can be found on every street corner, jumping into the fray of being "just another clinic" in the eyes of both gatekeepers and the public can make gaining traction an arduous task.

Worried about competition? Set yourself apart.

How? Know why your practice has to exist for the community. The reality is that the community doesn't need another therapy clinic.

But, perhaps, the community is ripe for a business that solves specific problems.

This is accomplished by first coming up with Why.

Need help figuring out Why? Want a team to walk you through the process of growing in a way that is right for you? Take the first step here.

Your Success is our success!
